We are glad to announce two new additions to Screamin' 2012!

PETER JEZEWSKI from THE BOPPERS
CHRIS CASELLO (USA)
Chris Casello is a Nashville based guitarist, vocalist, songwriter and producer. Originally from the Detroit area, Chris has worked with dozens of artists and toured the world, pecializing in roots styles from Swing, Rockabilly, Blues, and Jazz to Country.

PETER JEZEWSKI from THE BOPPERS (SWE)
Peter Jezewski original former singer and bass player in The Boppers, one of the most popular Rock'n'Roll and Doo Wop revival bands from the late 70's and early 80's in Europe, they recorded along that time many of those songs that made us fall in love with Doo Wop and Rock'n'Roll music, now he comes all the way from Sweden to bring us the best from the early years of The Boppers teaming-up with a young and talented band from Spain's east coast, The Woptones to keep on boppin' at Screamin' Festival.

Dear Screamers!

With the Screamin 'taking place in just over three months we regret having to announce the cancellation of two of the artists originally advertised; Bobby Brooks Wilson and Smokeohouse Dave will not be at Screamin '2012 for personal reasons which are beyond our control and ability to solve

But, dear friends, the show must go on and soon we will post the names of the artists replacing them, as we are working on it as you read this note. Stay tuned!

We would like to take this note to inform you of the event on Facebook
Take a look and let us know you're attending and, please, invite your friends.

Best regards!
The Screamin 'team

LA FABRICA

La Fabrica is ready to Rock! Are you?

Some of you will know that the Screamin’ was previously held in Calella at Fabrica Llobet for 7 years in a row - it is a converted factory in the city centre, so will be easily accessible from the wide range of hotels.

The "new" Fabrica Llobet is ready and the perfect place for the Screamin' festival. The hall has been refurbished and renovated so that the issues we had with the previous venue have been solved. In the new location we will have two halls; one for those people who want to see the amazing live bands, and one with DJ's, for the people who love to dance.

Screamin' returns to Calella.

After 4 years in Pineda de Mar, the Screamin' festival returns to the neighbouring town of Calella.

We want to offer you the very best, both the artists and the facilities! This is the reason we moved the 10th festival to Pineda de Mar, where both the local council and the people of Pineda welcomed us with open arms. They have done everything possible to make us feel at home, and we are so grateful as we really did.

We want to thank the Mayor of Pineda de Mar, Mr. Xavier Amor, and the whole team who have been involved in the last 4 years of the festival for all their efforts, dedication and the interest shown year after year. We hope we have helped to make the city a landmark for organisers of festivals and other events. We have had nothing but great experiences there, so we hope this bears fruit for them in the very near future.

Times change, we have matured and our needs are now different to the ones from a few years ago. This particularly shows now in the demand for more adequate facilities and access to them, especially in adverse weather conditions (which is always a lottery in late spring!). This is a comment we have received from many of you, especially at the end of our commitment to Pineda de Mar this 4th year.

The main concerns with an event like ours is to find the right venue with enough capacity, and which is located in an easily accessible area; being well connected to airports, and with a variety of accommodation and minimum standards of comfort, safety, etc.

All these aspects are fulfilled in the "new" Fabrica Llobet in Calella, which will see completion of work in the coming months to make its main hall the perfect place for the Screamin' festival. Therefore we will be able to meet your requests for improvement in the facilities of the festival – it is the least you deserve for your loyalty to the 14th edition of the festival!

Calella and la Fabrica Llobet will be the home of Screamin’ in the coming years. The main room has been refurbished and renovated so that the issues we had with the previous venue have been solved. In the new location we will have two halls; one for those people who want to see the amazing live bands, and one with DJ's, for the people who love to dance.

Some of you will know that the Screamin’ was previously held in Calella at Fabrica Llobet for 7 years in a row - it is a converted factory in the city centre, so will be easily accessible from the wide range of hotels.

Our second announcement is to do with the timing of the festival. Many people have requested that the festival ended on Saturday instead of Sunday, as it’s easier to request holiday from work during one week, and not take time off over two weeks. So now you can go home on Sunday to get safely to work on Monday.

Because of this, the big nights of the festival will be Wednesday 6th, Thursday 7th, Friday 8th and Saturday 9th June 2012.

For those who want to book by early September we will inform you about hotels and their prices as soon as possible, so please bear with us for a few days. If you want specific information quickly, please send an email to screamingbookings@gmail.com with PRE-BOOKING as the subject, and we will email you as soon as we have the list of hotels and prices available.

As we have always done in the past, we are working to offer an attractive line-up using our imagination; by discovering new talent, reviving old bands, and booking unlikely combinations or artists who are impossible to see anywhere but the Screamin'. However, it’s unlikely that we will see original artists of the 50’s. We must surrender to the evidence - it is sadly too long since the time of the classics, and it is definitely time for new legends and new values to carry the banner of our music as they did back in the golden age of Rock & Roll.

Coming soon - all sorts of details, so stay tuned!

Have a happy end of summer.

ABOUT CALELLA

Calella, the tourist capital of the Maresme coast, is well-known as being a cosmopolitan and fun town, and enjoys a typical Mediterranean climate. Well located, 50 km from both Barcelona and Girona, excellent road/rail connections and the possibilities of a varied excursion/leisure activity programme make it the ideal holiday destination.

The town is well-laid out, comprising a large pedestrian shopping area, ample parks and squares, backed up by an impressive 14,000 bed accommodation package in either hotels, apartments or campings making Calella one of the most important tourist destinations in the country.

About three kilometers of beaches and more than 180.000 m2 of golden, clean sand, intense blue waters, nature areas such as the Dalmau park, the avenues of Manuel Puigvert, Garbí and Les Torretes make Calella a dynamic, modern and welcoming town enabling visitors to enjoy those perfect holidays.

Calella accommodates annually some 250.000 tourists.

A few years ago an ambitious project was started, to convert Calella in a leader of combining popular and traditional culture with its Mediterranean and Catalan roots, to integrate the elements of all who reside there, regardless of their nationality but who feel deeply identified with Calella.

Calella is a town with more than 650 years of history. It has always been a town open to the sea and mountains, jealous of its past, rich in deeds and always aware of its Catalan roots. It has developed though the passage of time into a community which welcomes newcomers from a multitude of countries with their different, rich and rewarding cultures.
