The Cadillacs to replace The Belmonts. Due to health problems of one of The Belmonts members they will no be appearing at Screamin’ 2009. The Cadillacs from NY will be replacing them. Without any doubt the Cadillacs are one of the true pioneers on the r&b vocal group scene of the 50’s. Pivotal on the birth of what we now know as rock and roll. From the streets of NY city to R&B stardom. Idolized on the r&b music world, there are tons of singers and groups that name the Cadillacs as a major influence on their careers. They were true pioneers on the stage choreography while performing, they started a trend that even now groups are trying to emulate. Nobody could compete with the voices, songs and moves of the Cadillacs! They are still leaded by legendary Earl "Speedo" Carroll, unforgettable voice on classics such as "Speedo", "Gloria", "No chance" or "The girl I love"… and also a member of the Coasters during the 60’s and 70’s. We are lucky that we can still enjoy one of the most important voices on black music history!. There have been hundreds of groups, but just a very few with the looks, moves and stage presence of Speedo & the Cadillacs. Don’t miss the chance of enjoying R&B living history!!

| WHAT'S ABOUT THIS EVENT? Easy to explain; sun, beach and 50's Rock and Roll...The Screamin' festival are here once more; a crazy, funny, wild... Week of record hops, live music, all kind of parties and party, party, party…. This event has been growing year by year with attendance by people from over 20 countries. This is not just a weekender, this is not just a festival, this is not even just a holidays, this is a real R&R vacation; imagine: you can enjoy beach, sun, pool or all that a touristic resort as Pineda de Mar offers to its visitors and at the evenings and nights record hops, live 50's R&R music, beach parties, hawaiian parties…  |

ACCOMMODATION Like every year we will reserve a block of rooms in several hotels just for you. Pineda de Mar is not very big so all the hotels we have are located near the main hall and the rest of clubs aswell as close to the beach. There are different kinds of hotels that you can choose to spend your holidays. Payment must be done in advance. The number of available rooms is limited so be quick. Opposit to other weekenders you can book as many days as you want and, most important; this is not a strict residential event, that means that you can stay in any hotel of your choice booking direct and enjoy the party for which passes will be available each day at the door. But booking your accommodation with us you get free access to all the parties and live shows, etc, that take place during the week including the festival. The whole thing goes from the 26th of May to the 1nd of June, both nights included, you can arrive earlier or leave later if you want, there will be live shows, record hops, parties, etc, each day of this amazing week, even some pre party is being organized for the ones arriving earlier.
HOW DOES IT WORK? You submit your booking form, or send your booking details by email or fax or phone us. We check for availability in the hotels of the category of your choice. We confirm availability and give you a confirmation number, address of your hotel, etc. You pay your booking including the festival tickets. That's it!. When you arrive to Pineda de Mar you go straight to your hotel and when checking it you're giving a program which includes a city map with the location of all the interesting places plus the entertainment passes and festival tickets.
We will organize the auto show. Bring your classic and custom car or bike, there will be prizes and surprises for everyone bringing his car. If you don't have a car just come along and watch. For more info. contact us at screaminsummer@gmail.com
There will be a free program for everyone booking the Screamin 2009 or coming to the festival. On it you will find a full timetable on what's going on during this Rockin' week; there are many other activities, bands, Dj's, etc. to be organized/ booked during the next months. You will receive the program when checking in at the hotel, however if you come by on your own you can pick it up at any of the points we will list here in the next days. If you are a dealer and want to place an ad in them just get in touch with us.
Featuring stalls for records, CD's, videos, 'zines, clothes... If you want to book an stall let us know it ASAP.
We welcome children at the Screamin' Festival, at Beach Bar and at the hotel and street parties under the responsability of their parents, but other clubs in town don't allow kids. Almost all the hotels can help you to get a babysitter.
The brochures / flyers to promote this event are now printed, if you want to receive them at home just send us an email with your address, etc. If you can give them away in your area and help us to promote the Screamin' just let us know how many do you want and where to ship them.
